Indoor Track Nationals

We followed daddy and IWU to Indoor nationals in Terra Haute, IN. Had lots of fun. Amy and Sy came with us which made it even more fun, and unfortunately, I didn't get a great picture of Luke and Sy together (they are just SO CUTE playing together!) so here's one of the boys with Mahesh at dinner.

The pool in the hotel was definitely a highlight of the trip for Luke - it was really warm for a hotel pool and he and daddy played for an entire hour! He's getting really brave in the water and kept trying to get daddy not to catch him when he pushed off the steps into the water! Think his face says it all.
And IWU returned with hardware again, 4th in the nation this time which is incredible. Amanda was also named national track athlete of the year for scoring the most points at nationals! wow. These amazing athletes made for a very fun and exciting weekend for all.

Does Luke look tired, or what?!?! Believe it or not, he still seems to love going to track meets!

Random tidbits

We got this baby seat from our daycare provider (thanks Michele!) and when we got it home, Luke immediately wanted to go downstairs and get a 'baby' to go in it. (he then put the baby in it and sat on it...but you know!) Until we finally put it away, he enjoyed breaking it in! (no, we don't know if we're having a girl, but she needed it out of her basement)
A major reason we haven't updated the blog - mama and papa Huffaker now have a webcam and haven't been bugging us to update it while they're in Florida. Now, whenever Luke sees the laptop he asks 'papa there?' He sure misses them!
On these fantastic warm March days, Luke is content to do ANYTHING outside, including 'driving' his car for looooong periods of time. Thank goodness for nice weather!

Big Boy Room

Well, it has been brought to my attention that we haven't updated this in oh...4 months, sorry! This also led me to discover that we don't have too many new pictures of Luke since Florida, but I thought we'd put a few more up to update. Also, we need to take more pictures of the little guy before his world is invaded by a little brother or sister!! So first of all, in preparation for the new baby, we finally mostly finished his 'big boy room'. Immediately after I put the bed down, he insisted on napping in it (he looked so little!!) and has slept exclusively in there for a couple months now even though he had a choice for some time. This has been good and bad in terms of mommy and daddy's sleep, depending on the night, but he's really proud of his trucks.
